QU GRAY GALLERY TO HOST NANCY VONDERHAAR: POURED ACRYLIC PAINTINGS
QUINCY, Ill. – Quincy University’s Gray Gallery, located in Brenner Library, will host the art exhibition Poured Acrylic Paintings, featuring works by Nancy Vonderhaar from Quincy. This free exhibition will take place from February 20 – March 24, and is open to the public.
Vonderhaar is a Quincy native who started painting two years ago after she discovered the paint pouring technique.
“The science behind this technique is truly amazing. There are over 20 different pouring techniques,” Vonderhaar said. “I have always been fascinated by the idea of people using colors to express their thoughts and emotions.” Nancy enjoys the feedback from people viewing her work, as each sees something different.
Vonderhaar will offer a workshop at QU on March 18 from 1:00-4:00 p.m., followed by an artist’s reception from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in QU’s Gray Gallery.
